Willow is no longer with us

The old man has passed away. He will be sorely missed bless him. He died in his sleep this afternoon quite peacefully.
He had a little bit of cucumber last night and a wee drink.

Dinky moves house to a bigger place

its offical dinky has moved house she moved on the 13th of this month to a one bedroom studio flat very spaceous compared to the old place anyway

All rodents cleaned

mouse, two hamsters and rabbit were all cleaned yesterday awaiting inspections today. Sams Mum has fallen in love with young smeagol too.

dinky - man or mouse - the debate continues

Uncertainty still surrounds the gender of the mouse dinky. She (he?) is doing well though, quite plump just now though. It seems autumn/early winter is a time of much eating.

cousins izzy and bella

we heard to day that the animals cousins - izzy and bella the cats are doing fine. comical pair of characters they are. Apparently however izzy is getting quite plump of late. bless.

misty was cleaned out this evening. You know she's alot happier being stroked and stuff now. maybe she's getting used to us.

smeagol gets some new types of food

Now he has frozen blood worm, frozen daphnia and dried tubifex worms to chose from. We'll see how he gets on - if we can find him hiding in the leaves in his tank.

Misty helps out building a lamp

Young sammy today built a lamp purchased from Ikea. As you may know you generally have to build things bought from ikea and they generally come packaged up in interesting boxes containing pieces of polystyrene and plastic bags. Clearly in rabbit language this translates as toy box, building blocks and interesting clear stuff.

The fun really began when Sammy tried to tidy up. She was putting the pieces of polystyrene back in the box along with the plastic bags, being the tidy person that she is. Misty felt that she could help with this but seemed to miss a small but crucial point. She helpfully wondered up to the box, picked up the nice big pieces of polystyrene and threw them out of the box. Indeed as the more and more pieces kept appearing in the box Misty helpfully tried to not only take them out but also carry the stuff away.

Perhaps she wanted to know what was at the bottom of the box... don't we all.

wow, getting lazy about updating this eh?

dinky's been cleaned out, as has smeagol and the rabbit. dinky and misty seem to be competing for who can make their cage smelliest in the shortest period of time. impressive.

will's still sleeping alot and muffins still a nutter!

snails all cleaned out now. muffins' finally got her cucumber and misty's lying down after an evenings run.

Evlis has left the building

Elvis the water snail was pronounced dead tonight at 10:21, however babies of elvis have survived and are thriving in the small tank. Elvis the water snail was a busy snail indeed it would appear.

He will be missed.

Ok, she's upside down, hanging on to the shelf or on top of her wheel and she's getting bits of the cucumber!!!!

Muffin has some cucumber in her cage - sadly its on the top shelf and she's underneath. Now the shelf is a wire so she can very nearly get to it - but not quite. How long till she goes upstairs?

smeagol was cleaned a few days ago and is just being fed. he is spending a lot of time blending in with the plastic plants in his tank.

on a different note the new fishy previously in quarantine is now in the big tank with the rest - hurrah.
